In 2025 I created five custom soundscapes for the Maastricht Museum. In the exhibition Pelgrimage naar Maastricht, visitors embark on a journey through time, from the Middle Ages to the present day. Central to this journey is the Heiligdomsvaart, a seven-yearly relic pilgrimage held in Maastricht, centered around the veneration of Saint Servatius (Sint Servaas), the city’s first bishop.  

In reconstructing these ancient sonic landscapes, it was important to me that the sounds, such as the echoes of the pilgrim’s horn, remained authentic and conveyed their religious and emotional significance. Ultimately, the purpose of each composition was to render objects from the past tangible through sound.
